Like most crafters, the past few weeks/months have been about making custom gifts for people. But with only two more Christmas gifts to make and I’ll have lots to share in the new year with you all, along with where I bought supplies, tutorials on them, and patterns where appropriate.

Over Christmas, I’ll be off for at least ten days, if not two weeks, in which I can finally start thinking about taking a break and making a few bits for me.

I think I am going to start sewing some bits. As you know, I also have a hobby of buying fabric! And well, I’m hoping I’ll get to Canada in 2021 and buy fabric, I mean visit family.

So I think this is where I am going to start.

First up is this amazing fabric I bought in 2016 in Joann’s, while actually on our honeymoon. How convenient our hotel for a one night stop was across the road from one, my husband was thrilled. The plan is to make some super comfy PJs for me.

Next up, the buffalo plaid which I absolutely love. My plan for this is an infinity scarf. My options are a whole one from this fabric, or this being the lining of a scarf (and can be reversible). We’ll see what I have to go with it. This came from Marshall’s Fabric in Edmonton (my new favourite place in Edmonton).

And finally is this funky mountain goat fabric. I think with this one I plan to make a protective sleeve for my Cricut brightpad. This fabric (if my memory serves me right) came from Fabricland Canada.

Don’t worry there is still plenty of fabric in my craft room to make many more things from – any recommendations welcome! I’ll try and share some more of my fabric collection over time.
